Fungus can grow in air ducts. Most fungus releases toxic compounds and to
those with allergies they may experience flu, running nose, congestion, nose
and throat irritation, and fatigue. Bacteria that are found in most
environments such as crawlspaces, basements and air ducts are Ciadosporium,
Penicillium, Aspergillus, Alternaria and Yeasts.
If droppings of dust mites are inhaled or come in contact with the skin,
they may cause allergy, asthma and/or eczema symptoms.
